Neiman Marcus Bars
 
  • 1 German Chocolate cake mix
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1/2 c chopped pecans, if you’re into that
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened if you think about it
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 lb powdered sugar (3 1/4 c)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix the first four ingredients and press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch greased pan. (Note: it’s a good idea to lay down parchment paper first so you can lift them out.)
  • Beat the last four ingredients until creamy. Pour on top of the first layer.
  • Put tin foil strips (1 inch) along all four sides.
  • Bake for 15 minutes. Remove the tin foil and bake another 20 minutes or until it doesn't really quiver when you jiggle the pan.
