Raddichio's 1998-1999 Prophecy
From: David Stirling
Date: Wed, 04 Nov 1998 01:11:34 -0400
Subject: HOCKEY: Leafy Greens Roster Game 1, prophecy
The word of the Lord which came to Raddichio the prophet concerning the
nations.
"Hark! A cry from Atlanta,
'Desolation and great destruction!'
A cry is heard as far as Michigan, for at the descent of the Monkees
they have heard the cry of destruction.
So too is Ann Arbor Damaged
Flee! Save yourselves!
Be like a wild ass in the desert!
For, because you trusted in your forwards and your goalies,
you also shall be taken.
Wail, O Chicago, for the Beans are laid waste!
Cry, O daughters of Skrapheap!
Gird yourselves with sackcloth,
lament, and run to and fro among the hedges!
Why do you boast of your defensemen,
O faithless Freeloader,
who trusted in her treasures, saying,
'Who will come against me?'
Flee, turn back, dwell in the depths,
O Big Purple Freak of Action
For I will bring the calamity of Hrkac upon him,
the time when I punish him.
Weep, orphans of Marlboro,
for thy parents are vanquished
Because of the wrath of the Lord the System shall not be inhabited,
but shall be an utter desolation;
everyone who passes by the Goon will be appalled,
and hiss because of all her wounds.
Concerning Seattle,
Dogs and Slapsticks are confounded,
for they have heard evil tidings;
they melt in fear, they are troubled like the sea
which cannot be quiet
Mighty Mouse has become feeble, she turned to flee,
and panic seized her;
anguish and sorrows have taken hold of her,
as of a woman in travail"
And Radicchio said to the nations, "When you come to your computer, see
that you read all these words, and say 'O Lord, thou hast said concening
these nations that thou wilt cut them off, so that nothing shall dwell
in them, neither man nor beast, and they shall be desolate for ever.'
When you finish reading this e-mail, bind a stone to it, and cast in
into the midst of the Euphrates, and say, 'Thus shall I sink, to rise no
more, because of the evil brought on me.'"
Thus far are the words of Radicchio.
